Northwest Flower & Garden Festival

Northwest Prime Time’s sales advisor, the inimitable Chuck Nau, was also an advisor to the creator of the Northwest Flower & Garden Show.

Chuck would say that the organizers of the popular annual event always prayed for a stretch of cloudy and somewhat rainy days during the show. If the festival opened on the first sunshine in Seattle’s seemingly endless stretch of gray winter days, people would want to flock outside — not inside the Seattle Convention Center. If it was too stormy, people tended to stay tucked safe and sound inside their own homes.

Otherwise–in the middle of a long, chilly, rainy winter–the prospect of colorful blooms and the heady smell of flowers lured northwesterners to the popular annual event.

This year’s Flower & Garden Festival starts on Valentine’s Day and runs through Febuary 18. It takes place at the Seattle Convention Center. The theme is “I Love Spring” and the event will display over 20 gardens, offer more than 115 sessions and learning activities, and have thousands of treasures in the garden marketplace.
