This week it is a piece by Pat D’Amico entitled A Final Resting Place. The article discusses her husband’s love of aviation and a sad twist of fate that inspired a poem contemplating the journey toward life’s end.
Other articles in the top 5 include:
- One by our prolific travel writer, Debbie Stone, about a new Pacific Northwest retreat: The Lodge at Saint Edward State Park.
- Spring Foraging in Eastern Washington by our GREAT OUTDOORS columnist, Roger Urbaniak, is in the top 5 even though it was originally published in 2013. Here is the opening sentence: “Bringing home free tasty food from the outdoors and combining it with a delightful drive through wildflower country is a great way to have fun.”
- Rounding out the top 5 is an article about how interesting a trip to Washington State’s Dry Falls State Park and environs is, especially now that it has been recently named as part of “The First 100 Geological Heritage Sites” in the world by the International Union of Geological Sciences. Here is the link: Take a Trip to Dry Falls State Park
- And then there is the staying power of an article about Linda Evans. It remains the most-viewed article of all time on our site, spurred along with help from her social media fans.
