Dear Readers,
This week’s most viewed article is the first in a series by Dorothea Nordstrand.

Dorothea (Pfister) Nordtrand (1916-2011) was a frequent contributor to Northwest Prime Time. Her essays also appear in HistoryLink.org’s “People’s History Library.”

This story of her family’s homesteading years in the northeast corner of Washington state near Tiger is Part I of a continuing series that will appear once a month or so in the “Featured Columns” section of http://www.NorthwestPrimeTime.com.

Here is the link to Dorothea’s current story: Homesteading in Pend Oreille County. Next month, look for Part II of this series, which tells the story of the Pfister’s move from Tiger to Seattle.
