LAST MONTH'S CONTEST
The winner of last month's contest is Laurel of Seattle. She correctly guessed the Skagit Valley's Daffodil Festival near La Conner.

The annual Skagit Valley Daffodil Festival takes place throughout the month of March, where more than 500 acres of daffodil fields have burst into bloom. More acres of daffodils are planted in Skagit Valley than are planted for the area's more famous cousin, the Tulip Festival, which occurs every April.
Unlike tulips, which are "topped" toward the end of their bloom cycle, daffodils are left intact through the bloom cycle and beyond.
