Where in Washington?
September 30, 2024 at 6:37 p.m.
If you know where in Washington this photo was taken, you may win $100!
Hints and instructions on how to enter are below:
HINT I: Besides asking "Where in Washington," another question might be, What in Washington? If you are from this area and over a certain age, you likely know the iconic Seattle location where this photo was taken, and you probably also know the name of the contraption itself. In fact, you probably rode in it.
HINT II: The question is where the photo was taken, rather than where the contraption currently resides. The contraption was stationed at two separate sites in the same general location for 18 years, beginning in 1962. 1962, as you may remember, was a VERY big year in the life of Seattle, since it hosted a World's Fair. The contraption is no longer at it's original site.
HINT III: You can either name the contraption itself, or the general location where it spent its first 18 years.
The winner will be drawn at random from the correct answers sent to editor@northwestprimetime.com by October 28, 2024. If no correct answer is received, the $100 prize will transfer to the following contest.

LAST MONTH'S CONTEST
The winner of last month's contest was a new reader named Dawn. The photo from last month's contest featured the medicinal herb garden at the University of Washington campus. This medicinal herb garden has more than two acres devoted to a wide variety of medicinal, food, fiber, dye and ceremonial plants from around the world. The garden was created in 1911 by the UW Pharmacy Department. For more information about the Medicinal Herb Garden, visit the following link: https://www.uwmedicinalherbgarden.org/
