Where in Washington?

Can you identify the location of this image? If so, you may win $100!

HINT:  This photo was taken at a Washington State Park in a remote corner of the state. That is how we opened the description for our last contest, but this one is in a completely different corner. Most travelers think of these vistas as belonging to Oregon, but this scenic Washington State destination features the same “colorful” mountains, along with rivers and unique accommodations including lodges and teepees.

The winner will be drawn at random from the correct answers sent to editor@northwestprimetime.com by February 24, 2023. If no correct answer is received, the $100 prize will transfer to the following contest.

You must sign up for Northwest Prime Time's monthly newsletter in order to participate in this contest. To sign up, simply email editor@northwestprimetime.com with "newsletter" in the subject line.

Congratulations to Gretchen of Olympia, winner of the last contest. It featured Gardner Cave at Crawford State Park. The following description is from the park's website: Tucked away in the northeast corner of Washington, near the U.S/Canada and Washington/Idaho borders, Crawford is an unassuming day-use park…on the surface. But a tour of Gardener Cave reveals an underworld of deep geologic mystery. Gardner Cave is a 500-million-year-old cavern that measures approximately 2,072 feet in length and 295 feet in depth. Its floors, ceilings and walls are rich with stalactites, stalagmites, flowstone and rimstone pools. These features, which your interpretive guide will teach you to recognize, are illuminated by electric lighting. Free cave tours take place 10am, noon, 2pm, 4pm Thursday through Monday. (Each visitor must register online for the tours: register here.) For more information about Crawford State Park, click here: Crawford State Park Heritage Site or call 509-446-4065.
