Natural sunscreen are the best forms of sun protection

Save your skin - Clothing accessories and ointments that protect your skin.

Protecting your skin is not only important to keep you as youthful looking as possible, it is also necessary for preventing skin cancer and other issues caused by sun exposure. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, folks in the U.S. are victims to more than 3 million cases of skin cancer each year.

If you have your heart set on working on your tan during European cruises or trips to the Islands this summer, there are a few things to know to help protect you while you enjoy your time outdoors.

There are a few different ways you can take care of your skin while in the sun, and among the most popular are dressing appropriately and using a natural sunscreen. The Skin Cancer Foundation indicates that clothing is the single most effective form of sun protection. Don’t be afraid to dress the part of a colorful tourist while enjoying European cruises and time spent playing outdoors. Sport large wide brimmed hats, stylish swim suit cover ups, long pants, and sunglasses with large frames.

Natural sunscreen is also a good choice for sun protection. These natural sunscreen products allow you sun protection without using potentially harmful chemicals on your skin. Choosing natural sunscreens with mineral and plant based ingredients instead of chemicals is better for your skin and the environment, and are known to cause less allergic reactions. Look for a natural sunscreen that contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, as they offer broad spectrum effectiveness and last longer without having to reapply.

Taking care of your skin while having fun in the sun doesn’t have to be a chore; grab your sunglasses, hat and sunscreen and set out for an outdoor adventure.
