The top story for the past week is about Oregon’s Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival by our travel writier, Debbie Stone. This popular tulip festival starts in March, beating Washington’s Skagit Valley Tulip Festival by two weeks.

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival begins on April 1st, but festival organizers are recommending that you visit their bloom page to check on the status of the flowers. They are getting a late start this year due to a colder-than-usual March. Bloom – Tulip Festival
