Sequim Lavender Festival

The Sequim Lavender Festival runs July 21-23

For some, taking a trip to the Olympic Peninsula to view field upon field of heavenly lavender in is the perfect weekend getaway.

Sequim, nestled in the peninsula, bills itself as the Lavender Capital of North America.

The Sequim Lavender Festival takes place July 18 through July 20, 2025.

Sequim has one of the highest concentrations of lavender farms in one area within the United States. During the lavender festival, visitors have access to farms that are usually closed to the public.

Many people flock to this event just for the chance to experience lavender in the fields and to cut their own lavender. Many of the farms also offer demos and gift shops with all things lavender. More than a dozen Lavendar Farms are part of the festival.

The Street Fair offers live music, more than 150 booths highlighting Northwest crafts and food. This event draws people from all over the world, so take a look at the website to learn about parking and transportation hints.

In addition to the farm tours and street fair, many special community events take place over the weekend.

While you’re on the Olympic Peninsula, you can take in some of the other area attractions including Olympic National Park, Dungeness Spit, the Olympic Discovery Trail, and more. You can even catch a ferry to Victoria Ferry by traveling to nearby Port Angeles.
