CREATIVE AGING AT TOWN HALL

RESCHEDULED UNTIL 2025

Monday, November 18, 2024 at 7:30 PM at Town Hall Seattle

Mother and daughter Rebecca and Erika Crichton discuss how Gen X and Boomer-aged people can learn more about one another by openly sharing perspectives on the joys and challenges of aging well in our modern world.

Erika Crichton completed her Master of Social Work degree at Columbia University in 2006. Since then, she has worked in the fields of aging, disability and dementia services, caregiver support and training, and hospice and palliative care. She has extensive experience as a medical social worker and has also held leadership roles in large healthcare systems. Erika is a Washington State Licensed Advanced Social Worker and trained Dignity Therapy© practitioner. She also holds certifications from the National Association of Social Work and the Center to Advance Palliative Care. Her combined clinical and healthcare administration experience gives her a unique lens for how to help her clients navigate complex health and social services systems.

Rebecca Crichton, Executive Director of Northwest Center for Creative Aging (NWCCA) brings wisdom and purpose to her work with the aging community. She retired from a 21-year career at Boeing as a writer, curriculum designer, and leadership development coach. Her Encore Career uses her knowledge and experience to offer programs and resources related to Creative Aging in the Seattle area. Trained as a Hospice volunteer, Rebecca continues to teach and facilitate Grief and Resilience support groups for several organizations. Rebecca has master’s degrees in child development and organizational development and is a Certified Coach.
