Mayfest

Celebrate Spring at Lakewold Gardens from Monday, May 5 through Sunday, May 13

It’s Spring—and what better time of year to enjoy the showy rhododendrons—the State’s Flower—then to make a visit this year to Lakewold Gardens. These dramatic blooms, in shades from palest white to delicate pink, from violet to yellow, are at their peak at this time of year and make an ideal background for celebrating the start of May, and honoring Moms.

Lakewold Gardens invites you to enjoy a day (or several days!) in the Gardens off Gravelly Lake Drive during the Gardens’ traditional Mayfest. Lakewold’s traditional spring festivities are sponsored by Columbia Bank.

Concluding with a lavish Mother’s Day Brunch on May 13, the Garden has a full week of garden-related events including:

• Ikebana arrangements

• Colorful spring table top displays

• Stone carving demonstrations

• Historic photo displays

• Lakewood Arts Commission’s spring show of juried artworks

• Discounted Garden membership rates

Best of all, it’s all tucked into a larger-than-life-size “garden” basket during Lakewold Gardens’ annual Mayfest here in Lakewood, and everyone’s invited to enjoy the many aspects of this green gem.

Celebrate Mayfest beginning Monday, May 5 and continuing through Sunday, May 13!
