HINT II: Each December, this venue offers the graceful leaps and arabesques of ballet dancers, along with a nutcracker or two.

LAST MONTH’S CONTEST
The winner of last month’s contest is Lisa from Seattle, who sent in the correct answer: WildLanterns at the Woodland Park Zoo.
We received a lot of correct answers to last month’s question. We also received a few incorrect ones — understandable since there are so many lighted displays in the region to choose from…
WildLanterns at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo will continue through January 19 from 4-9pm. The exhibit is closed select Mondays along with Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Beginning in January, the schedule changes to Thursday-Sunday (closed Monday-Wednesday).
Lantern displays in the form of creatures are spread throughout the zoo, with guided directions provided via an interactive digital map that provides real-time updates.
Nightly activities include live performances, with traditional Chinese Lion Dance, Face Changing, Umbrella Juggling, Chair Balancing and more. The performances take place at the PACCAR Auditorium, located near the south entrance to the zoo.
