The contest featured a 1920 photo from the very first Apple Blossom Festival in Wenatchee. When the festival first began, it was a one-day event; now, the annual festival starts in late April and extends into early May. It features a Grand Parade, carnival, food festival and entertainment. Wenatchee is considered the Apple Capital of the World.
