On Sunday, October 1 and Tuesday, October 3 through Saturday, October 7, Bloedel Reserve celebrates creativity.

Bloedel Reserve is a 140-acre nature reserve on Bainbridge Island. Visitors wander groomed trails of woodlands, meadows, sculpted landscapes and gardens.

Each day during the first week of October (except Monday), Bloedel features a unique experiential immersion into creativity, including poetry, painting, walks, talks and art exhibitions. Most offerings are included in the general admission to Bloedel.

A sampling of activities for the week:
  • Daily during public hours: Plein Air Painting Exhibit
  • Sunday, October 1: Singing with Trees; workshop on Western Thatching Ants.
  • Tuesday, October 3: A walk and photography talk; music in the garden; art installation project.
  • Wednesday, October 4: “Pay what you wish” day (with timed tickets); artist workshop; wood engraving demo.
  • Thursday, October 5: Meet with the creative residents on site; sound immersive experience in the trees.
  • Friday, October 6: The ecology of bees; the ecology of water; plein air painting workshop.
