There has been a parade every year since 1934, with the exception of the war years of 1943, 1944 and 1945, as well as 2020 during the global pandemic. The festival started as a celebration of the agricultural industry in the Puyallup and Sumner area but has grown to include four cities. One day…Rain or Shine! It starts in Tacoma at 10:15am, then goes through Puyallup, Sumner and Orting. The parade includes daffodil-covered floats, marching bands, clowns and pirates.
