AWARDS RECOGNIZE AND REWARD INNOVATIVE CARE FOR PERSONS LIVING WITH ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE

Now in its third year, Maude’s Awards gives up to five $5,000 annual awards to individuals and three $25,000 awards to organizations excelling in one of four categories of care for persons living with dementia and care partners.

As an individual, one does not have to be a dementia care professional to qualify – the interest is to discover ways that family caregivers and persons with dementia are making life better for themselves and others in their situation. Please note: These are awards for existing programs, products or practices as opposed to grants for the future.

Maude’s Awards is a program of the Richard and Maude Ferry Foundation. Maude, matriarch extraordinaire, brought a long and lasting gift of love for all who walk in her path. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend with a big and generous heart.  Loyal, thoughtful, encouraging and wise in her words and actions, she inspired joy and purpose. In 2013, Maude was diagnosed with dementia and Richard continued their shared journey as a loving caregiver and tireless advocate. Maude’s Awards for Innovation in Alzheimer’s Care carries their commitment forward — encouraging, celebrating and sharing innovations that will enrich the quality of life for generations to follow.

For more information about Maude’s Awards and to access the Awards Application, visit http://www.MaudesAwards.org. Applications will be accepted through May 16 at 6pm PST.

The 2021 Awards Recipients were announced in September and can be found here – 2021 Awardees – Maude’s Awards (maudesawards.org).
