Father-in-Law’s Day

With my dad gone, my father-in-law is the focus of my Father’s Day.

And well he should be. If I’d written up a script or drawn a diagram, no man could ever have filled my wish list for a father better than Victor.

Like my dad, he has always been there when needed—helping with painting or building jobs or pet-sitting while we travel.

Beyond that, he likes to talk. Raised as the baby doll for his older sisters, Vic was trained early to be a “girl’s best friend”—their little “Buddy.”

In depth conversations are his forte, but twinkling eyes and endless humor are the traits that put him over the top of the Pop scale.

Even better than being funny and sunny is his apparently endless kindness and compassion—a generous soul to the nth.

So Happy Father’s Day, Victor. I’m looking forward to one of your warm hugs!
