Hope Conference for Parkinson’s.

The Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation and American Parkinson Disease Association Washington Chapter are proud to sponsor the 2012 HOPE Conference for Parkinson’s.

The conference will feature Rich Clifford, former NASA astronaut who did a spacewalk in 1996 two years after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Curt Freed, Professor and Head of Division of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine will be presenting on Stem Cell Transplantation and other new treatments. Other speakers will focus on caregiving and the benefits of exercise for people with Parkinson’s.

The conference will take place on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. It will be held at the Hilton Seattle Airport and Conference Center, 17620 International Blvd in Seattle. The Northwest Parkinson’s Foundation’s mission is to establish an optimal quality of life for the Northwest Parkinson’s community through awareness, education, advocacy and care.

American Parkinsons Disease Association mission is to “ease the burden and find a cure” for Parkinson’s disease through research, patient services, education and raising public awareness.
