| Communications Director, AARP Washington | June 10, 2014

The Walgreens Way to Well Health Tour with AARP rolls in to Washington State in June as part of a nationwide tour to provide free prevention and early detection health services to underserved communities. The tour is traveling the country providing free tests, assessment, education and consulting services.

The tour will include 10 stops in Bellingham, Lynnwood, Burien, Seattle, Kent, Tacoma and Federal Way. Stop by to receive a series of free tests including: total cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, body composition, skeletal muscle, resting metabolism, visceral fat, real body age and body weight. Collectively the free health screenings (available for adults 18 and over) are worth $100 in value.

The services will provide adults with a critical foundation for early disease detection, and no appointment is necessary. Visitors will have access to free educational information on a variety of health and wellness issues that are available in both English and Spanish. Free 1-year AARP memberships (new or extension) will also be given to all participants.
