Eating by colors: The darker the food, the better it is for you

One shortcut to selecting foods for good health is to start choosing foods that have great colors. There is proof that the darker the food, the better it is for you. Some of these best health foods have achieved the status of being included in a list of “superfoods” that are especially beneficial. In addition, a pretty looking meal is visually satisfying and can pick up your mood a little just by its good looks.

Planning your meals can become a fun occasion, as you can even color-coordinate meals by using your palette of colorful foods.

Eating by colors, choosing darker foods, is far better for you than trying to get the same results from expensive supplements. These foods are naturally balanced and come in a form highly acceptable to the body for use. You are way less likely to overdose any particular vitamin or mineral when you are seeking those from natural foods. Food nutrients do not interfere with natural body functions, such as absorption of zinc, a problem associated with intake of too much iron supplement.
