Talking Death: Out in the Open

Death and dying can feel difficult to talk about—but for some professionals, it is part of their daily work. A social movement called “death positivity” promotes healthy conversations about the topic of death.

You are invited to join an open, honest panelist discussion and come prepared for tears, jokes, and some new perspectives. Leading the conversation will be a panel of experts, including a chaplain, a funeral director and others.

The event takes place on Saturday, August 26 from 3 to 5pm at the Lake Wilderness Arboretum, 22520 SE 248th Street in Maple Valley.

Panelists will include:

Nathan Yemane, Hospice Social Worker

Linda Purdy, Director of Inner Wellbeing & Spirituality

Chris Ronk, Managing Funeral Director

Lashanna Williams, Death Doula

This event is hosted by King County Library System. Registration closes on August 25 at noon – seating is limited and going fast! Follow this link: Out in the Open: Talking Death | Events | King County Library System (bibliocommons.com)
