A Touching Message About Meals on Wheels

Sound Generations is a non-profit organization serving older adults and adults with disabilities in King County. Previously known as Senior Services, Sound Generations is Washington State’s largest provider of comprehensive services for aging adults in King County.

One of Sound Generations’ many programs is Meals on Wheels, which combats not only food insecurity but also loneliness.

Here is a recent post on Sound Generation’s website about Meals on Wheels reads:

“Dear wonderful community,

To close the year, we created an amazing video to highlight an important program: Meals on Wheels. We invited volunteer driver Scott Label to take us through a ‘day in the life.’ In one day, we saw the warehouse, met the volunteers at our Renton site, and met some of our wonderful clients. Now we get to share it with you.”

I highly recommend you watch the video, here is the link: Full Plates, Fuller Hearts

The post goes on to say that Meals on Wheels faces an unprecedented 900+ waitlist in the King County region. Sound Generations is inviting the community to donate to the program: Here is a link to their donation page: Donate

Don’t live in King County? Consider donating to your local Meals on Wheels program.
