See Our First Online-Only Publication

On May 1, 2022, Northwest Prime Time published its first online-only publication. You can find it on our website under “Latest Edition” or you can link to it here.

Our cover story features the trailblazing filmmaker and television producer, Jean Walkinshaw. At age 95, Jean is still working at her craft. When she reflects on her life and recent accomplishments, she says with wonder, “I just stand back and think, well, what next is going to happen that’s lovely?”

You can also expect articles from your favorite columnists, including national award-winning journalist Margaret Larson, the health news you’ve come to expect, humor columnist Sy Rosen, and even the very first episode of our favorite octogenarians in the popular series, The ongoing, life-affirming adventures of Rose and Dawn.

Right off the bat, the online publication will look familiar – pretty much like the print editions that have been gracing newsstands for decades. But digging in a little deeper, you will notice some big changes.

  • First of all, at this point there are no ads.
  • Second, although the pages appear to be the same as our print edition, they are actually 8 ½ x 11 inches instead of 11 x 17 inches. The pages are designed to be easily downloaded and printed for those that want to hold the paper in their hands. Readers can even go to their local library to print out the pages. You may be surprised that – depending on which county you live in – printing black-and-white copies at the library will be free or nearly free.
  • Third, the articles in the online publication will not appear in our homepage until early June, so those reading the online pub will get a jump start on readers who only view the website.

In any case, we hope you will check out Northwest Prime Time’s first online-only publication. Let me know what you think: Northwest Prime Time May/June 2022 by Northwest Prime Time – Issuu
