Crone of Puget Sound, an organization providing older women the opportunity for continued growth and validation, is offering a scholarship of $1000 to a woman of 40 years or older enrolled at North Seattle College. “We realize our contribution is a modest one, but it might provide a jump start for a woman striving to achieve financial independence through education and training and we want to participate in the process,” said a Crone Scholarship Committee member. Crone encourages, supports and informs older women about possibilities, opportunities and adventures as they age, provides a way to join a widening circle of friends and supports the visibility and activism of older women in the community (our motto: women growing older with power, passion and purpose).
The deadline for application for the Crone Scholarship is November 15. For information about the scholarship, visit http://www.northseattle.edu/scholarships. To learn more about Crone, visit http://www.croneofpugetsound.org.
