Gig Harbor Welcomes Classic Car Shows this Summer

July and August brings rare and collectable automobiles to Gig Harbor

Gig Harbor hosts classic car events this summer, including the "Cruise the Narrows Classic Car" event on August 4, 2013

(Gig Harbor, Wash.) – Gig Harbor will host “Wings & Wheels” which will fly into Gig Harbor’s Narrows Airport on Saturday, July 6th from 11am to 5 pm. It’s an aviation event with a car show – featuring bi-plane rides, helicopter rides, amazing cars and aircraft, and the Smoke ‘N’ Thunder Jet Dragster making a 300 mph run down the runway. The cost for adults 18 and older – $15, seniors and military ID card holders – $10, kids 6 to 17: $5 and kids five and under are FREE. More details can be found at http://www.fredomfair.com.

In August the classic cars return for Gig Harbor’s favorite “Cruise the Narrows Classic Car Show” Sunday, August 4th from 8 am to 3 pm at Uptown Gig Harbor. This year’s feature vehicle is the Chevrolet SSR pick-up. Admission is $15 per vehicle entered and visitors are free. Proceeds from the show go to the Gig Harbor Cruisers High School Scholarship fund. Organized annually by Gig Harbor’s own Gig Harbor Cruiser Car Club, the event is enjoyed by hundreds each year.
