Local Seniors’ Artwork Win National Recognition

Helen Klein’s painting was selected for the cover of the National NCAL newsletter.

The National Center for Assisted Living recently asked its members to submit artwork created by their residents. The Center wanted to demonstrate residents’ artistic abilities and passion for the arts. Helen Klein, resident of Peoples Retirement Community in Tacoma, had her painting selected and displayed on the cover of the NCAL newsletter. Dorothy McGowen, also had her needlework selected. All submitted artwork can be seen at NCAL.org and Pinterest.com.
