Tenth Anniversary of Summer Sounds at Skansie

Line-up reflects the best of the past decade

The City of Gig Harbor has announced the line up for SUMMER SOUNDS AT SKANSIE 2012 celebrating the tenth anniversary this summer. The extremely popular FREE outdoor concert series will begin on June 26th and run on consecutive Tuesdays through August 28th, celebrating TEN concerts instead of the usual nine. All concerts start at 6:30pm and are held on the waterfront in Skansie Brothers Park, in historic downtown Gig Harbor. Rain or shine and concerts are free.

“We asked our audience who they loved best from the past ten years,” said Laureen Lund, city marketing director and event coordinator. “They told us and we listened!” Eight of this year’s ten performers were voted as the favorites from the past decade. Two additional groups were added to round out the season.
