Seattle’s Pacific Science Center’s Festival of the Fountains, July 27, 2012

WHAT: Pacific Science Center will close its doors at 3pm on Friday, July 27 in preparation for the biggest party of the year!

It’s the 46th annual Festival of the Fountains at Pacific Science Center on Friday, July 27, 2012, in the outdoor courtyard and under the landmark arches near the Space Needle.

Wrapped in gold, this year’s Festival of the Fountains marks not only Pacific Science Center’s 50th anniversary year but celebrates the landmark King Tut exhibition now on display at the Science Center for the last time in North America.

6 p.m.

WHERE: Pacific Science Center, an independent, not-for-profit institution, is located under the arches near the Space Needle in Seattle.

DETAILS: Pacific Science Center will close the exhibits at 3 p.m. on July 27 to accommodate preparations for this event. The IMAX® Theaters will continue normal operation.

This black-tie affair kicks-off with an outdoor cocktail reception in the upper courtyard under the arches where guests have the opportunity to network with influential business leaders in the community. Guests will enjoy premium cocktails, wine and appetizers from local restaurants. A four-course dinner is then served on the lower outdoor courtyard. Later, guests will enjoy live music and dance the night away under the starry sky. Ticket proceeds benefiting Pacific Science Center’s education programs serving children, families and adults statewide.
