Paul Revere & The Raiders Play Two Sold Out Shows at Skagit Valley Casino Resort June 15 & 16

Iconic 60’s rock band Paul Revere & The Raiders will perform at 8 pm Friday & Saturday, June 15 & 16, in The Pacific Showroom at The Skagit Valley Casino Resort.

Founded in Boise, ID in 1958, the Raiders rose to popularity in the second half of the 1960s and early 1970s. They saw considerable mainstream success in the U.S. with 23 consecutive hit singles including “Kicks” in 1966, which earned a spot on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time,” and “Indian Reservation” in 1971, which hit No. 1 on the national charts.

The current Raiders performers include founding member Paul Revere, lead guitarist Doug Heath, bassist Ron Foos, keyboard player Danny Krause, lead vocalist Darren Dowler, and drummer Tommy Scheckel. Heath, Foos, and Krause have all spent over three decades playing and touring with the Raiders.

Throughout his distinguished career, Paul Revere has created a highly polished and entertaining performance. His outstanding stage presence, comedic talent and sixth sense for pleasing his audience, along with the group of talent he’s gathered into the Raiders, are what keep fans coming back year after year.

A few of the highlights of Paul Revere's career are:

  1. Paul Revere and the Raiders were the first rock group to be signed with Columbia Records with the 1963 recording of “Louie Louie”.
  2. In 1965-1966 Paul Revere and the Raiders were featured on the ABC TV five-day-a-week network show "Where the Action Is" produced by Dick Clark.
  3. Paul Revere and the Raiders appeared on 520 episodes of "Where the Action Is" a network TV show on ABC.
  4. In 1968 & 1969 Paul Revere co-hosted a weekly ABC TV series, "Happening" produced by Dick Clark.

In the summer of 1971, Paul Revere rode his motorcycle crisscrossing America three times, stopping at radio stations promoting the Raiders recording of “Indian reservation”, which went to #1 on the national charts and has sold over 4 million singles.

During their career Paul Revere and The Raiders also had 23 consecutive hit singles!
